If you’re able to call us before microbial growth has had time to develop (typically 24 to 48 hours of constant exposure to excess moisture), we will do our utmost (and our utmost is a huge amount of effort) to extract all excess water, including that in the form of humidity, before the microbial growth does develop.

According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Microbial growth, most frequently mold, can only be “mitigated” or “remediated”, not eliminated. The EPA allows us to say we will get rid of visible mold colonies, and we do say that, but we cannot claim, and we will not claim, to get rid of all mold or all mold spores.

If we get rid of the excess moisture, however, we can prevent the mold or other microbial growth from developing.

We also want to remove the excess moisture as soon as possible because the water keeps causing more damage the longer it contacts the building’s materials and belongings.
